Ascorbic acid

Ascorbic acid is an alternative term for Vitamin C. The use of the two terms in the beverage business is determined by the technological use it is put to.

 

The antioxidative effect of ascorbic acid is utilized to conserve the substances contained in our beverages, for instance to stabilize flavors and thus to maintain the quality of the soft drink. In a case like this the term antioxitative ascorbic acid is used.
